02.02.20 - Coniston Gardens Ashburton

Waking up in the morning, I was super excited for this day. I knew for the last 2 weeks that this day was predicted to be the hottest day of the year. Crawling out of bed to 20 degrees already, I packed multiple drink bottles of water and headed on down to Ashburton from Christchurch. I met with another client at a cafe and funnily enough ran into Justin with his groomsmen and fam having a well deserved breakfast. As soon as I walked over, the groomsmen had me in fits of laughter. I knew the day was going to be awesome, but I was pumped to have such a fun group of people to hang with for the day.

Off I toddled to the venue where Courtaney was based with the girls. I wanted to check out the venue so I arrived an hour before I needed to, just so I can set my shots in my head and explore. I was gobsmacked when I arrived, a beautiful private lake with multiple bridges & ALOT of shade which we most definitely needed. I spotted a wee row boat and knew they would both be down for the adventure! After wandering round I headed off to the boys, snapped some shots of the boys getting ready. All the suits and shirts all freshly ironed, the personalized beer glasses & sunglasses, plus of course the socks. Then it was time for the girls. I caught up with Jade my second shooter and we got to work. Working our way through the details and of course the beautiful girls looking pretty! I love getting creative, so when I saw the beautiful mirrors and vintage furniture.. Well I couldn't help myself! Courtaney and her girls looked absolutely breathtaking.

The girls & boys had an epic surprise for Justin thanks to his hilarious groomsmen Dave. They strapped him into a wedding dress and sent him down the aisle first. The look on everyone's face was priceless. I did feel for the boys, the chapel had reached 34 degrees, it was absolutely boiling and not quite so refreshing in a full blown suit! Lucky they were all troopers and they tied the knot with some super heartfelt vows which had me in awe.

These two beautiful souls produced a spectacular day and I was so grateful to be there and join them. I hope you all enjoy a snippet into their day <3
